Patricia Slavin, Managing Director, founded Affinity Management Services Limited in March 2004 and Affinity Management Services (Malta) Limited in July 2011 and is responsible for all aspects of the business including growth and strategic development, with a specific interest in yachting services. Having spent ten years with BDO and qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant, she moved to Ernst and Young Trust Company as a Senior Manager in 1998 before establishing the business in 2004.
Graduating from the University of Ulster in 1985 with BA Hons in Accountancy and is a Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the ACCA, she spent two years working in Guernsey where she lectured in Accountancy at the College of Further Education, before moving to the Isle of Man in 1987.
Patricia has accumulated over twenty-five years’ experience in the offshore finance sector during which time she has focused primarily on VAT, Yacht, Aircraft and Fiduciary Services.
Married with three children, she enjoys the finer things in life, travelling (whenever she finds the time!) and continues to visit ‘home’ in Northern Ireland on a regular basis.
Andrew joined the team at Affinity in 2008 and has over fifteen years experience working within the offshore business environment. He is responsible for overseeing the business development and client services function for both the Isle of Man and Malta offices. Following his appointment to the Board of Directors in 2012, he continues to oversee key client relationships in addition to his wider responsibilities across the business.
Andrew is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Institute of Directors (IoD) and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree.
Andrew has been on the board of the Isle of Man Association of Corporate Service Providers since 2017.
Married with three children, his interests include photography, clay target shooting (he has been part of the Isle of Man Skeet Team for over 10 years) and watching sport. Andrew enjoys working in the community and is a member of the Rotary Club of Rushen and Western Mann.
He is a keen football fan and an avid supporter of Liverpool F.C.
Chris joined Affinity in November 2017 with over 20 years experience in the CSP and Yachting Industry.
With a broad knowledge of the Marine Industry in such areas as VAT and ownership structures, he specialises in some of the more practical aspects such as MLC Compliance and Maritime Safety and Security.
Chris is married and has two young boys, he is an avid, if very average, golfer and is also a keen Evertonian!
Derek joined Affinity in April 2017 as Client Services Manager and manages a portfolio of high value clients. Prior to his current role, he has held senior roles in the fiduciary industry and has over 30 years experience in the international finance sector bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in third party fund and corporate administration.
Derek holds a professional compliance qualification and also the Isle of Man Certificate in Corporate and Trust Administration.
Alex joined the team at Affinity in September 2015 as a Senior Client Administrator and has over eleven years experience working within the industry, having previously held positions with two large Corporate and Trust Service Providers.
Being responsible for the day to day operations of the Administration Department within Affinity she also manages a portfolio of CSP and E-Gaming clients ensuring they receive the highest possible standard of service.
Alex qualified as a Certified Accounting Technician with the ACCA in 2012 and serves as an Officer in the Army Cadet Force running a detachment on the Island every week. She also likes travelling and her favourite place so far is the Galapagos Islands.
Colin joined Affinity in October 2015, prior to joining Affinity he held senior roles with various corporate service providers across the Isle of Man. With over 25 years experience within the International finance industry he has a broad knowledge of many areas of corporate and trust law, structuring and administration. He is responsible for the Statutory Department and also acts as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Data Protection Officer.
As a member of the International Compliance Association he holds the ICA International Diploma in Compliance, the ICSA Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration and also the Isle of Man Certificate in Offshore Administration (Company and Trust Administration).
Colin has two grown up children and is an avid fan of blues and rock music and also likes the great outdoors, especially enjoying hill walking and camping. Colin is also a football fan and follows Queens Park Rangers FC.
Rachael joined Affinity in June 2014 as Deputy Compliance Officer, and took the position of Compliance Officer in November 2016.
Having spent over 10 years in the insurance industry and as a Certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance, she has held senior managerial positions within firms providing a wide range of insurance services, including captive insurers, domestic insurers, commercial brokers and bespoke underwriters. Her particular focus has been large scale claims adjustments.
With the experience she has gained in risk identification, regulatory and management, Rachael brings key skills and knowledge to her role as Compliance Officer and MLRO and is a professional member of the International Compliance Association, where her main study focus has been managing Transnational and International Anti Money Laundering risks.
Outside of the office Rachael enjoys spending time with her husband and son. The family like to travel and do so as often as they can.
David has a strong connection with the Company having first joined in 2007. Since returning in February 2017 in the role of Accountant he assists the Directors and the Client Administration team with financial reporting for both Group and Client companies.
With over thirty years experience in accounting starting out in private practice in Dublin, he moved to the Isle of Man over twenty years ago and over that time he has gained experience working at various roles within the financial services sector.
David is married with three children and is a follower of most sports, especially rugby and football. He is a long suffering Arsenal F.C. fan.
Kate joined Affinity in October 2013 as Assistant Yacht & Aviation Administrator, she is responsible for her own portfolio of clients and also provides direct support in areas such as day to day client administration, payment of supplier invoices and maintenance of client records.
In 2017 Kate obtained a Certificate in Superyacht Management and is currently studying for the Diploma.
Outside of work she enjoys keeping up with a meticulous and rewarding fitness regime, nicely balanced with a busy social life and can be found at a musical festival at least once a year.

Mark joined Affinity in 2013 as a bookkeeper having previously worked for another Isle of Man financial services company. Following his appointment to the company he decided to work towards Certified Accounts Technician status and will complete his final exams in December 2017.
Having moved to the Administration Team in March 2016 his role involves the administration of a portfolio of clients. Mark has gained a Diploma in Superyacht Management which is recognised by the University of Portsmouth.
Outside of work he is an active person, plays football for Braddan AFC, attends the gym and enjoys walking around the Island with his dogs. Mark is a keen football fan and supports Everton.
Marta joined Affinity in April 2017 as a Junior Client Administrator. Her role is to provide support to the Administration Team in areas such as payment of supplier invoices and maintenance of client records.
Marta is Portuguese and moved to the Isle of Man in September 2013 where she completed her education at Ballakermeen High School, gaining A levels in English Literature and French. Marta has a passion for languages including French and Spanish.
Sarah joined Affinity in 2006 and currently works as a Client Accountant ensuring that all of her client’s accounts are kept up to date and that all VAT, tax returns and financial statements are produced on time.
Before joining Affinity, Sarah worked for several leading accountancy practices and Corporate Service Providers and holds the Association of Accounting Technicians (“AAT”) qualification.
Sarah is married with four children who are all sports mad and in her spare time enjoys walking, swimming and travelling.
Clodagh has a strong connection with the Company having previously been a Director working within the Client Accounting Team.
In November 2015, after several years away from the industry to concentrate on family, she rejoined the Company in the role of Accountant, assisting the Directors with the financial administration and reporting of the Company.
Clodagh has thirty years experience in accounting and holds the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.
Rebecca joined the accounts team at Affinity in September 2017 as a bookkeeper and is responsible for the general day to day bookkeeping of clients accounts, assisting with preparation of financial statements and the completion of VAT returns.
Rebecca is currently working towards her ACCA qualification and away from the office likes to keep herself busy and enjoys catching up with friends, attending the gym and going for long walks with her dog.
Zlattie was born in Bulgaria and moved to the Isle of Man when she was 14 completing her GCSEs and A Levels at Ballakermeen High School.
Zlattie joined Affinity in August 2017 as an Accounts Junior after taking her A Levels and has now decided to undertake the ACCA qualification and hopes to one day become a Chartered Accountant. Her role within Affinity is to support the Accounts Team which involves ensuring that deadlines are being met and tasks are completed on time.
In her free time she enjoys reading both fiction and non–fiction books as well as cooking and baking.
Lynda joined Affinity in 2007 originally as Office Administrator and now works in the Crew Payroll Department.
Lynda is the Company’s main liaison with crew and our third party payroll provider. She takes pride in ensuring that all crew needs are met and that the structures are compliant with Flag State and MLC requirements.
Lynda’s experience working within the Aviation industry has so far spanned nineteen years including working for Guernsey Airlines in Operations for two years before moving to the Isle of Man in 1988 where she worked for Manx Airlines for seventeen years.
Jackie joined the Company in November 2015 having previously worked in Customer Services.
Jackie’s main role is to assist with the day to day running of the office and Reception.
Ray joined the Company in June 2015 as the Compliance Officer
Ray has worked in the financial services industry for over 12 years, seven years of which as Manager, within the Company Compliance Unit of the Malta Financial Services Authority. He was also Compliance Manager with the biggest QROPS operator in Malta for over two years. He has also occupied senior positions within the Malta Civil Service.
Ray has a Diploma in International Compliance by ICA, a Bachelors of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Elena joined Affinity in 2015 as a Client Accountant.
Prior to joining the Company, Elena spent 12 years working within the audit sector and was responsible for servicing a wide range of local and international clients.
Elena is responsible for managing client accounting records and ensuring the timely preparation and filing of VAT returns. She is also responsible for the training and mentoring of staff and dealing with local auditors.
Elena holds a Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours from the University of Malta, she is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and holds a Practicing Certificate in Auditing.
John is a Senior Consultant of Affinity Malta, where he plays a key part in all client matters including the importation of Yachts and Aircraft.
John joined Affinity from Malta Customs, where he accumulated 40 years experience and gained considerable knowledge about EU customs matters. With this knowledge and experience, coupled with his instrumental part in developing Malta as a leading jurisdiction for the importation of goods into the EU, he is perfectly positioned to oversee all affairs relating to customs and VAT in respect of EU importations and acquisitions.
John graduated with a Diploma in Public Management from the University of Malta in 2001.
Balazs joined Affinity’s Malta Office in February 2016 as a Trainee Accountant.
Balazs is responsible for undertaking the general day to day bookkeeping for the Malta client entities, assisting with preparation of financial statements and the completion of VAT returns.
Prior to joining the company, Balazs spent more than 10 years in the banking sector and the financial service industry where he specialised in settlements, payments, cash operations, global market operations, fund administration, reconciliation and reporting.
Balazs holds two Bachelor degrees in Economics & Banking and Business & Finance.
Emma joined the team at Affinity as a Senior Administrator. Emma is originally from the Isle of Man and previously worked within the yachting department for a large corporate service provider before relocating to Malta in 2015.
Emma’s role involves the day to day administration of a portfolio of client structures ensuring that clients receive the highest possible standard of service at all times.
Emma has over 8 years’ experience in the industry.
Outside of the office Emma enjoys keeping active, spending time outdoors and is a Sergeant Instructor in the Malta Royal Marine Cadets which she balances with an indulgence in dining out, good wine and travelling as often as she can.
Claire joined Affinity Malta’s accounts department in March 2018.
She is responsible for the general day to day bookkeeping of client’s accounts, assisting in the preparation of the financial statements and the completion of VAT returns.
Before joining Affinity, Claire spent six years working in the accounts department of an international financial service company. She was responsible for preparing and review of management accounts and financial statements and preparing VAT returns for a range of international clients.
Claire possesses a Diploma in Accounting from the Association of Accounting Technicians (UK) as well as a Diploma in VAT from the Institute of Indirect Taxation (UK). She is currently studying towards completing ACCA.
Shane Joined affinity in 2018, assuming the role of Data Protection Officer for the Malta office.
With a career spanning nearly 10 years in Banking, CSP, TSP and Egaming with an international compliance focus he brings a good knowledge and broad experience to the Malta team.
Shane holds Cert. AML and Int. Adv. Cert Compliance qualifications from the International Compliance Association.
Tanya joined the team in Malta in June 2018. As office administrator she looks after all aspects of the office organisation running of the Malta office.
Tanya was born and grew up in Vitebsk, Belarus. She is fluent in Russian and English and has a understanding of Maltese and Italian.
Away from the office Tanya has a keen interest in Psychology, reading and watching as much on the topic as time permits.
She also has a passion for sports cars!!
Irina is originally from Kazakhstan and is well travelled, having lived in countries such as UK, Egypt and Guatemala before settling in Malta. She is fluent in Russian and English.
Irina holds a Batchelors degree in Economics & Accounting and is qualified by the IAB in the UK.
Irina has joined our accounting team in Malta having a long standing and broad experience in VAT & Tax compliance as well as accounts preparation and submission. Prior to joining Affinity, Irina worked for 15 years in a variety of large companies, with her most recent experience in the accounts department of an international finance service company.
In her spare time Irina enjoys reading, history and target shooting.
